How long to make a quilt?

How long does it take you to make a quilt?  I promised a friend that I would make two quilts by this Saturday.  I haven't started either.  It is 1pm on Thursday.  Ready...set...go!

Cut and sort the fabric: 45 minutes.  I love my Accuquilt Go! fabric cutter.

First three blocks sewn together: 40 minutes.  It would have gone quicker if I could focus and pay attention to what I'm doing.  I had to take apart two of the blocks because I sewed them together wrong.  I think I will try to sew them one at a time from now on :)

Total of 8 blocks done now.  These last 5 blocks took 60 minutes.  Much quicker if I pay attention to what I'm doing :)  I have 4 more blocks to make and then time to arrange it.  Not sure I love the one with the purple in it, but will hold off judgement until all blocks are finished.  Plus, the colors are way off in these pictures.

All the blocks are finished now.  Another 30 minutes for the last 4 blocks.  That makes a total of 2 hours and 10 minutes sewing time and 45 minutes cutting and arranging time.  Just under 3 hours so far.  Still have to sew the blocks together, quilt, bind and deliver.  That will happen tomorrow. I'm thinking another hour and a half and I should have this one done.

I'm impressed what you've done so far. I think you can do this. But, it certainly would take me a lot longer. I think I'd still be selecting fabric!
