Goin' Fishing

Ok, so not really fishing, but this quilt called for something in the red bars and I knew I had a fish quilting pattern somewhere in one of my many quilt design books. Just the ticket! Laura Lee Fritz to the rescue. I have several of her books. Each one is filled with many, many designs that can be adapted to fill a space or border or in my case one of these stripes. My fish don't look like her fish, but if I don't show you what hers are supposed to look like you will think I am a genius :) Check out one of her books from your local library, or better yet, buy one for yourself on Amazon or put it on your Christmas list.

And then last night, while waiting for the tennis schedule to update, I got this quilt done. Nothing fancy here, just some meandering and wiggles. But, it's done and that's all that matters. My son counted the tops waiting to be quilted and there are 49 more. 49 after all I've done this vacation! Wow, that's a lot. Plus the 72 kits I cut out. No time to rest. No time to chat. I've got work to do.
