Teach your children well

Look what my daughter saved today from the Goodwill outlet!  No, not the puppy, the quilt.  I've taught her well to appreciate the good things in life.  This gorgeous quilt was given away and sat, unwanted long enough to make it to the Goodwill outlet.  That's the last stop before ending up in the landfill.  I love the Goodwill outlet stores because you buy things by the pound.  Not sure how much she paid for the quilt, but our local store sells things at $1.39 a pound so it probably wasn't more than $5.
Quilted up this HUGE King size quilt today.  So nice to have the quiltng machine working again and not having it skip stitches.  I must have gone through 10 bobbins on it. Someone took a long time piecing this baby.  Now to find a good home for it.

And finally, I put together the quilt top that has been waiting patiently for me to get around to me.  This one is all mine.  Borders, quilting and binding and I will finally be able to snuggle under my first quilt.  I love the colors, design and pattern on this quilt.  I sewed it while the mega quilt quilted today.

I've had the worst headache the last two days and the hum of the machine was very soothing.  I do so enjoy having a hobby that relaxes me when I don't feel well.

You taught her daughter well. Glad she saved that beautiful quilt and brought it home to a quilt loving family.
