Challenge complete...and a giveaway!

I started working on this quilt last night and got the half square triangles sewn together. Then, this morning, despite waking up with my migraine still there, sewed it together in under 1 1/2 hours. I see many more of these quilts in my future. I love this pattern! So fun and cool looking!

The rest of my day will be spent running kids places and grading lab books. Wheee, what a fun way to end the year :) Then, after dinner we have a tradition of ending the year with a family game night. We play all sorts of board games until one minute til midnight. We all get on the couch and jump into the new year and then run outside with pots and pans and wooden spoons and run around the neighborhood banging them and making noise yelling 'happy new year' and then run inside and into bed.

It's going to be a fun day.

Here's the giveaway. Just leave a comment on this post and you have a chance to win a 'kit' for this quilt. Different fabrics, but they will all be cut out and ready for you to sew your own 'Stretched Stars' quilt.

The background will be white and the stars will be lots of different colors cut with the Go! cutter.

This is great if you don't have your own Accuquilt Go! cutter. You will be able to see how great this cutter is.

I will pick a winner on Sunday, Jan 2 around 3pm or whenever I go insane from grading lab books :) Be sure to tell me your favorite color when you leave your comment. I will try to pick out scraps to match your favorite color when I cut the stars.

Good Luck!

Happy New Year!

I think it would be fun to sew a quilt from pre-cut pieces because I always dread cutting. Thanks for the opportunity.

I don't have a GO cutter (yet). Maybe if I win, I will have to get one. (I'm liking the idea of cutting those drunkard path pieces and the tumbler ones.)

I'm with Rebecca. Love the idea of the cutter cutting the difficult to cut pieces. I may do a hexagon quilt yet!

Thanks for the pattern link. Even though I use Sizzix, I can adapt the ideas to the dies I have.

Happy New Year!

I don't have an Accuquilt Go! cutter yet, but I'm saving up for one, but I hope to win one first :) We'll see! Thanks for the chance to win.

I love my "GO"!
I used to teach the Stretched Star pattern about twenty years ago, but it was known as Floating Stars back then. It is a great pattern and soooo very fast to sew together. It looks great in any combination; soft pastels to black solid with a loud tropical print.
Happy New Year!

Thanks for the opportunity to win this kit. I love the stretched star but it would be wonderful to have the pieces pre cut!

This is a lovely giveaway. Thank you for your generosity! I'm a big fan of greens, though I know that's not a starry color. Maybe a little yellow worked in would make it more sparkly. Happy new year to you!

I have seen this pattern before and it is on my to do list, along with a billion others of course. I love blues and purples and....well almost all colors. Hope you get those assignments graded quickly so you have more time to play, and I also hope your migraine take a leap to the South for the winter.

Thanks for the opportunity for this great give away. I love this pattern. It looks so fun and easy to do and I love, love, love anything that has to do with stars. I usually lean toward darker colors but I'm not to picky if someone will cut it out and give it to me. I suffer with migraines too but mine have gotten much, much better as I've gotten older (thank god for menapause!) Hang in there. I hope you find something that works for you.

Beautiful. I've always loved this design and have had it on my wish list for sometime. What dies did you use on the GO!? I'm thinking the 6 1/2 square and half square triangle, but then the blocks do not look that large. Inspirational.

Awesome!! I love the idea of pre-cut pieces with the GO (I don't have one). If I had one I'd be cutting sunny (yellow), bright, happy colors. Thanks for the chance to win!

Wish I could have entered the giveaway. My computer at home wouldn't work this weekend. I would still like the pattern if you have it available. Bonnie in Iowa
