I've always wanted to make a Snail Trail quilt and with the tutorial posted on the link above, these blocks are coming together quickly. The colors are way off here, probably because of my purple floor, but they are black and purple fabrics and this one will be for my son's girlfriend for graduation. yep, it's getting to be that time of year, when I have to start making graduation quilts. Only 38 days of school left.
I still can't get ahold of the guy to fix my quilting machine so I'm not sure what I'm going to do to finish it up, but at least I hope to have the quilt top done before school is out.
I'm cutting out the pieces using my Accuquilt Go! dies and my Studio fabric cutter. It is cutting so quickly and sewing together so perfectly. I would never attempt a block like this if I had to cut all the little pieces by hand. Too many weird measurements. The block finishes at 12 1/2 inches and everything is matching up perfectly.
Vacation is so much fun! I can't wait until retirement.
