I love my Accuquilt Studio Fabric cutter and Go fabric cutter and have been looking for the elephant die for the Go cutter for a long time. It was a short release die a few years ago and I missed out on getting it. They didn't make it for the Studio cutter, but Accuquilt also has a sister company called Accucut. They make dies for schools that will match the Studio fabric cutter as well as the Ellison machine. I got an email the other day saying they were having a 50% off sale that ends tomorrow. Most of their dies won't work for quilting, but some will. This is the same die as the Go elephant die and at 50% off, you can't beat that deal.
Just use the code save50. If you want some number dies or alphabet dies, this is the time to get them for your Studio fabric cutter. Or, if you've been wanting a Studio cutter, you can purchase one here and save a bunch. The cutter is the same, just has a different name. Funny how things work like that.
Why would you want a workhorse like this if you aren't making 47,000 quilts a year? It really cuts down on cutting time, makes your quilting so much more fun. The right tools make the projects so much more fun.. Before I got my Go and Studio, I didn't like sewing the triangles and now they are some of my favorite shapes to sew. The cut off corners make it so much easier to match and get perfect tips every time. Plus, sewing curved seams of the drunkard's path is a breeze.
Blasting through scraps is so easy too. And, with all that extra time you have, you can make extra quilts for charity. Your friends will give you their scraps and you will want to make lots of extra quilts to bless others with. You will always have an extra quilt on hand to be able to give in times of need. Win, win, win.
